Pelion, the mount of Centaurs
Mount Pelion was the mythical homeland to Chiron the Centaur, tutor of many ancient Greek heroes, such as Jason, Achilles, Theseus and Heracles. It was in Mount Pelion near Chiron's cave where a dispute among the gods resulted in events leading to the Trojan War. Mouresi is one of the 24 villages of Pelion and is a scenic one-hour drive from Volos, a coastal port city situated midway on the Greek mainland. Soon after leaving Volos, the mountain’s magic unfolds as its dense Platanus and Fir forests draped by small waterfalls and brooks surround you. The picturesque villages seemingly refuse change as they maintain their traditional architecture with warmth and charm.
Below is a glimpse of a few of Pelion's attractions with approximate driving distances from Mouresi, the location of the real estate.
